dVerse Catrin’s Soul Eyes

Lillian is our host for today’s Poetics at dVerse, the virtual pub for poets around the globe. This month marks her 8-year anniversary tending the pub at dVerse. Our inspiration is the art of Catrin Welz-Stein, who is trained in graphic design in Germany, she experiments with mixed media, collages, paintings on canvas and digital art.

In twilight’s dream where shadows play,
A maiden’s form in soft array,
With eyes like stars on every limb,
She dances on the twilight’s brim.

Her hair, a river, dark and deep,
Where secrets of the night do seep,
With floral whispers, petals drift,
A world between the realms does shift.

Each gaze, a portal to her soul,
A thousand tales within her scroll,
Her silent lips, a peaceful song,
In this enchanted night belongs.

Catrin’s touch in every line,
Her art, a blend of realms divine,
From canvas rich to digital trace,
She captures dreams in boundless space.

Each medium a new voice does sing,
In textures bold and hues that cling,
A ring upon the maiden’s hand,
A mystery in this artful land.

Mixed media blooms with stories old,
In collages where her visions hold,
A legacy of whispered themes,
In painted worlds and digital dreams.

Her gown, a field of blossoms bright,
Weaves patterns in the quiet light,
Catrin’s world, where muses dwell,
In art that casts a timeless spell.

In this surreal, ethereal space,
She holds the sky’s celestial grace,
A guardian of dreams unseen,
In realms where waking lies between.

Catrin Welz-Stein’s gentle art,
A tribute to her boundless heart,
In twilight’s dream, her visions stay,
A muse of night, in soft array.

You’ve not only created an exquisite ekphrastic poem, describing the image beautifully, you’ve created an ode to Catrin Welz-Stein’s creative genius. I know she will be touched to read this. And the rhyming is subtle such that the meaning is not obscured at all…..too often rhyming is forced. This just flows. Thank you so much for posting!
