OPTIONAL PROMPT: The painting below by Frédéric Bazille, titled Black Woman with Peonies is in the public domain. If you choose to be inspired by this painting for your poem today, do be sure to indicate its title and give credit to the artist.

In a garden of silence, mid bloom and hue,
A figure stands, grace in every line.
Face unseen, yet presence felt true,
Holding peonies, a gesture divine.
Roses whisper, tulips bow in grace,
Around her, beauty's tender embrace.
A moment captured, timeless and still,
In colors that feelings and dreams distill.
Bazille's brush, in 1870's light,
Brought to canvas a scene so bright.
A tribute to life, to love's soft power,
A black woman with peonies, a delicate flower.
So let this painting, in its quiet way,
Remind us to find beauty in every day.
For in each petal, each stroke of art,
Lies a story, a piece of the human heart. 🌸
