Walter stared at the broken coffee machine, desperately needing a lift to start his dreary day. With a sigh, he grabbed a can of soda from the fridge, hoping the caffeine would jolt him awake. As he trudged to his car, the sky darkened, promising yet another downpour. His spirits lifted slightly when he found an old mix CD in the glove compartment, filled with nostalgic tunes. Blasting the music, he sang along, the melodies lifting his mood as he navigated the morning traffic. By the time he reached work, the rain had started, but Walter stepped out with a smile, feeling a rare sense of optimism.
