Rhythms of Motion

 Avatar

Step by step, the world turns,
turns with the rhythm of feet,
feet that dance in the pulse of time,
time that marches, never halts,
halts for no one, no matter the plea,
plea for a pause in the endless march.

Step by step, the rivers flow,
flow with a melody of endless song,
song of currents, song of streams,
streams that race to the ocean’s embrace,
embrace the journey, the winding path,
path that leads to the unknown sea.

Step by step, the wind whispers,
whispers secrets through the trees,
trees that sway in the breath of the breeze,
breeze that carries the seeds of tomorrow,
tomorrow born in the sway of today,
today that dances on the edge of dawn.

Step by step, the heart beats,
beats in the chest, a drum of life,
life that pulses in the veins of earth,
earth that spins in the vast expanse,
expanse of sky, of stars, of dreams,
dreams that move in the dance of night.

Step by step, the world turns,
turns with the rhythm of time,
time that flows, whispers, beats,
beats in the heart of all that moves,
moves with the dance of endless steps,
steps that carry us through the rhythm of life.

Step by step, we move forward,
forward into the pulse of tomorrow,
tomorrow that waits with open arms,
arms that welcome the dance of feet,
feet that turn in the rhythm of the world,
world that turns, step by step.

  8. I really like how you have used the last word to be the first in the next, and it doesn’t feel forced but a natural move on to the next thought, the repetitions being a developing of your ideas – I especially liked you 4th stanza /beats in the chest…/ veins of earth …/ a lovely flow
