Here is a cento composed from lines taken from a selection of dVersian poetry from the month of April:

“Hope is the thing with feathers”
— Emily Dickinson

Shadows move like whispers on the wall,
Through windows flecked with morning light.
Beneath the sky of endless blue,
Where dreams like dandelions take flight.

Between the breaths of dawn and dusk,
In gardens where the wild roses bloom,
Time spills in a cascade of stars,
Softening the edges of the room.

In the quiet of the night,
When the moon whispers secrets to the sea,
Hope flutters softly, unseen yet bright,
A promise of what’s yet to be.
