Absence

In the quiet hollow where laughter once lived,
Absence whispers with the weight of unseen stars.
It draws the outlines where warmth used to reside,
A home now silent, under the watch of a cold, distant moon.

Where are the voices that filled the summer air?
Absence, a subtle artist, paints in shades of what was,
The canvas stretched in the space between breaths,
Invisible yet palpable, like a scent remembered from a dream.

In this garden of echoes, footprints lead to mist,
Paths once walked, now corridors for wandering ghosts.
Absence teaches the heart the art of listening,
To the hushed symphonies played on unstrung violins.

Under its gaze, trees bow in solemn reverence,
Leaves murmur in winds that carry tales of yore.
It’s in this empty space, potential unfurls its quiet power,
Seeds of tomorrow sown in the soil of yesterday’s shadows.

So I sit with Absence, its silent wisdom profound,
It speaks of everything that is not, yet everything that is.
For in the depth of its void, lies the birthplace of possibility,
And from nothing, everything finds a place to begin.
