She had won the “Cosmic Wake-Up Call” contest fair and square by correctly guessing the number of alien-themed stickers the station commander had plastered over his personal laptop. The prize? A wake-up call from orbit, because who needs coffee when you can have astronauts serenading you into consciousness? There she sat, in her duck-patterned pajamas, staring at a phone that remained as silent as the vacuum of space itself. Little did she know, the delay was due to a small, yet highly significant, interstellar incident involving a misplaced cup of zero-gravity coffee and the station’s main communication console.
