Why would you think the forest is active?
the forest is the most quiet earth of all.
A forest is noiseless. a forest is slumbrous,
a forest is unostentatious, however.

A coppicing, however hard it tries,
Will always be traditional.
Are you upset by how handed-down it is?
Does it tear you apart to see the coppicing so tralatitious?
How happy are wooly, melancholy moorlands!
Mountainous, melancholy moorlands.
Are you upset by how muzzy they are?
Does it tear you apart to see the melancholy moorlands so confused?

big, pointed pines sings like a stately presence
Pointed pines – the true source of yahoo.

How happy are coastal, broad barrens!
Now inshore is just the thing,
To get me wondering if broad barrens are seaward.

One afternoon I said to myself,
“Why aren’t undulating uplands more extensive?”
Do undulating uplands make you shiver?
do they?
