When you were a kid, did you want to have the same job or a different job than your parents when you grew up?

Well, truth be told, I had no clue what my mother did as a career, all I know is that she wished she had a different job. She hated it after a while, but to her defense, she has worked there for over twenty years. My father is a USAF Vietnam Vet. Who worked on jets. I used to wear his wings when I was a kid, pretending I was the pilot.

I wanted a different job, I wanted to play with electronics. I guess that would be closer to what my dad did. I think if anything I wanted to be more like my grandpa. He worked as a janitor for House of Fabrics and retired as VP of a branch in California. I thought that was awesome because he got free cars every other year. I thought his job was the bee’s knees.
