The time that I made an unpopular choice? That is all the time.
But the biggest one would be back in 2008 when I ended an 18-year relationship to maintain some sanity.
However, everyone wanted me to at least try to make it work. But I refused.
Sometimes we must stick to our own truths to survive. Even in the midst of all of their doubts about your decision. We must stand strong.
It is a process, but well worth it.
Since then I’ve gone back to school to get my criminal justice/psychology degree. I have a year and a half left. I’ve become stronger for my children. The cycle of dysfunction had to end in order for me to grow.
The choice was unpopular but who cares. Popularity is foolish to strive for anyway. Popularity breeds immorality.
